From the information which you give us we will make a check list for each cleaner, gardener, window cleaner etc. which they will be asked to complete and initial on every visit. Our aim is to ensure that your visitors’ first impression of your cottage is a good one and one that will encourage repeat bookings.

We will provide you with an emergency contact number so that you can get in touch with us 7 days a week. Whatever the problem or nature of the crisis we will do everything we can to resolve it. We ask that you do not give this number to anyone else. (see page 10 for our Visitors Emergency Service).

We will meet and let in builders, gas and electricity board men etc. on your instructions. However we cannot be responsible for overseeing work which you commission yourselves. On the other hand if you would like us to report on progress or keep you informed we will be happy to do so.

We have a small, hand picked list of local plumbers, electricians, decorators, carpenters and builders that we are able to recommend. If you would like some help finding a competent , reliable, qualified tradesman in the area, just ask..

When you come on holiday yourselves let us know what you would like us to do to prepare the house for you. We will air the house, switch on heating, make beds and even purchase a basic box of groceries on your behalf. We limit this offer to 3 times a year to prevent abuse of our service, but if you need us we will always try to be there for you.
NB: If you would like us to thoroughly clean the house before or after your visit, we will be glad to do so at holiday let rates.

In addition to clhangeovers etc, we will visit your cottage weekly or fortnightly depending on the season and letting pattern, to see that all is well.

Cleaning a holiday cottage is not the same as cleaning a home! There must be no trace of the previous visitors for new arrivals to find.
Our cleaners will clean your holiday cottage between lets to the highest standard. Apart from the obvious, we clean under cushions, behind appliances, check in drawers and on top of wardrobes, check every light is working and count the crockery. You may well say “I should hope so too!” but believe us, not everyone does!

We always remember that visitors have often worked until Friday night, then packed and driven hundreds of miles in nose to tail traffic with a car full of children before arriving for their well earned holiday. If you would like us to send your linen to the laundry we will do so as part of our management service. The only cost is the local laundry charge.

Decide to hire our linen. Its all good quality white poly-cotton or similar and we offer duvet covers, fitted sheets, pillowcases, hand towels and tea towels. We also have a small range of cot linen.

This service keeps us on call 24/7 and we aim to arrive smiling even in the middle of the night!
Even if the problem can’t be solved straight away, people really appreciate someone trying to solve it and often the visitors you solve problems for are the ones who come back time and time again.
So far this year we’ve replaced a whole toilet on a bank holiday and staunched a flood and cleaned up the mess caused by a damaged pipe. Showers stop working after a thunder storm, someone cannot work out how to use a washing machine, the dishwasher is blocked, the water just won’t run hot or the drains are overflowing after a deluge.
Sometimes people just need someone to help them find their way around: a child needs a doctor, someone is desperate for dental treatment or they’ve forgotten the nappies and its Christmas Eve.

This one’s as long as a piece of string. From a quick mow and strim round the lawn once a fortnight to a careful daily watering of precious plants. From gentle weeding to cutting back the jungle we can provide it all at a competitive rate and but we will only quote when our gardeners have seen the job.

Do you have a conservatory and a sun room or only a two up two down cottage? We offer competitive local rates and a choice of inside only , outside only, or both.

This usually takes two days (depending on the size of the cottage) and includes a follow up visit to put on the heating or air the cottage again before the first guests arrive. We aim to clean every surface and check every fixture and fitting. We like to make your cottage sparkle.

We’ll pack up your blankets and duvets or take them for cleaning if you wish. Packing up barbecues and outdoor furniture, defrosting fridges and freezers and turning off water, electricity or gas as you request. We’ll leave the house clean and tidy and safe from moths and mites.

We can arrange babysitting for children of 2 and over by local women and teenagers whom we know personally. We can usually provide an NNEB qualified nanny who is qual;ified to care for small babies too. Our cooks are local women with a flair for cooking who will come in daily and shop and cook to an agreed modern family menu.
